Janice L. (Best) Miller, of Shreveport, LA passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013. Arrangements are being handled by Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave., Shreveport, LA. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 6, 2013 with a visitation held prior from 9:30 AM until service time. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery West, 4000 Meriwether Road, Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Vernon Lindsay and Evelyn Powell Lindsay; first husband, Preston M. Best and second husband, Merl L. Miller. Janice is survived by her brother, Ray V. Lindsay and wife, Faye of Haughton, LA; nephew, Ray V. Lindsay III of Euless, TX; niece, Rebecca Ann Mourad and husband, Jeff ; great niece, Allison Faith Mourad and great nephew, Nicholas Lindsay Mourad, all of Minden, LA. She was a lifelong resident of Shreveport and a retired RN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Bellaire Baptist Church Building Fund 4330 Panther Drive Bossier City, LA 71112.
