James J. Phares Of Shreveport

Forest Park Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements of Mr. Phares. Gravesside services for James J Phares, will be held at 10:00am at Forest Park West Cemetery, Shreveport, LA on April 15, 2014. Officiating services will be Father Michael Millard. Mr. Phares passed away on April 7, 2014, at the age of 97 years old. He was a native of Many, LA, and resided in Shreveport since 1974. James was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Marcus Bickham Phares, his parents Dr. James K. Phares and Sallie Gipson Phares, two brothers; Oscar Ross Phares, Glen G. Phares, and sister Mrs. Edna Phares Cole. He is survived by his sons, James J. Phares, Jr. and wife Sheila Furman Phares; Cleveland Kirk Phares and Wife Lynn Livesey Phares; Andrew Tinkham Clark and wife Cathy Clark; as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
