James (Boo) Russell Godfrey, Jr. Our beloved husband, father and son passed away on October 23, 2016. James leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 35 years, Patricia and children Latedra, James Godfrey III and Jessica, his granddaughter, Riley Jester, parents, James Godfrey, Sr and Herice Godfrey, sisters, Yolanda (Tina) Godfrey, Gwendolyn William, brother Brian Godfrey, his wife Tammy, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. His interests included: family, gardening and football, particularly The Dallas Cowboys. He devoted much of his time and energy to being a caregiver to his wife and worked as an LPN at the VA Hospital. The Funeral Service will be held at The Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave, in Shreveport, on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 12:00 pm. A Visitation Service and reception precedes the funeral at 11:00 am.
