Harvey Dennis, Jr.

Bossier City, La- Funeral services for Harvey E. Dennis Jr, 65, will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday December 31, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Forest Park East in Shreveport, La. Visitation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church beginning at 9:00 am prior to the service. Harvey was born September 12, 1948. He went to be with his Lord and Saviour on December 27, 2013. Survivors include his wife, Cathy; two sons, Jonathan (Kimberly) and Stephen (Emily). He had one daughter, Christy Dennis; and one grandchild, Everett Dennis. He is also survived by his mother, Dealie Dennis; two sisters, Orlena McKenzie (Buster) and Regina Martin (Tony), and a host of relatives and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be: Bill Fleischaker, Jim Thomas, Dennis May, Buster McKenzie, and Morgan ""Scooter"" Freeman. Harvey had an exceptional career as an accountant, earning multiple degrees, certifications , and awards in his respective field; but he was most proud to be called Dad. Harvey received wonderful care from his physicians, with special thanks to Dr. Dan Moller, Dr. Jay Toups, and the staff at Willis Knighton Outpatient Dialysis Center.
