Halen Douglas Morton, a bright light in the lives of all who knew him, was born on February 7, 2008, in Bossier City, Louisiana. Tragically, his journey in this world came to an untimely close on October 12, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Halen’s life, though far too brief, was marked by a passion for music and a love for adventure that touched the hearts of many.
Halen went to school at Herndon Magnet Caddo Magnet and Accellus Academy. He possessed a talent for music that resonated deeply through his bandmates and those lucky enough to hear him play. Music was just a part of what made him special; he was also a skilled mechanic, often found tinkering with old cars and motorcycles, pouring his time and energy into his projects with joy. Beyond his creative pursuits, Halen was an adventurous soul who reveled in the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter, a devoted NASCAR fan, and cherished every moment spent riding ATVs alongside his best friends.
Halen is survived by his beloved family, who will forever hold his memory close. He leaves behind his parents Luke and Keri Pickett, and Meagan Morton. His grandparents Angela Fryer, Kathy Britt, and Deborah Morton, and his siblings—Sonya Paddy, Justin Pickett, Richard Luke Pickett Jr., Izabella Pickett, Jaxon Pickett, and Hunter Pickett. Also left to cherish his memory are his aunt and uncle, Cody and Courtney Foster, Zach Morton, and Allan Stanfield, alongside a multitude of cousins. Additionally, Halen leaves behind many close friends and cherished bandmates.
Halen was predeceased by his great- grandmother Judy Morton and uncle Max Morton.
Halen’s visitation will take place on October 20, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by his funeral service at 4:00 PM, both held at the Forest Park Funeral Home in Shreveport, Louisiana. His family invites all who knew and loved Halen to join them as they honor his memory and celebrate the joy he brought into life. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
