Gina Lynn Strickland

Gina Parr Strickland Of Shreveport, LA, Wife of Jason, mother of Dylan, Sutton, & Olivia, went to be with our Father, on September 24, 2014, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be held, Wednesday, from 5pm-8pm, and services will be held Thursday at 1pm, at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave. Shreveport, LA. Burial to follow at Forest Park East. Born April 12, 1970, to Military parents, Robert & Barbara Parr, in Ishpening, MI, they were later reassigned to Bossier City, LA, where she grew up and attended Bossier City schools. Gina was a Parkway Panther who graduated class of '88. She was a self-employed Esthetician, who cherished her clients and friends, and in return, became loved and cherished by so many. Gina is survived by her husband Jason Dee Strickland; sons, William Dylan Parr (18) and Charles Sutton Strickland (11), daughter, Olivia Marie Strickland (8), parents Robert and Barbara Parr, sister, Konnie Taylor; husband, Chuck; and Brother Robert Parr, wife, Kelly. Also several nieces and nephews and mother-n-law, Sharon Culpepper, husband, Jack; and father-n-law, Dee Strickland. Gina also leaves a host of friends that loved and supported her. Her dearest friend Ann Chreene and her children, Stacey, Andy, and wife, Lacey Chreene, were Gina's angles on earth. Honoring Gina as Pallbearers will be: Andy Chreene, Ashton Hamm, James Mauldin, Sean Naquin, Chuck Taylor, Stacey Chreene. Cancer may have taken Gina's life but her love will live on through her family and friends. We will always love and miss you.
