Geraldine Smith

Geraldine (Geri) R. Smith, 94 of Shreveport, Louisiana, retired Bossier Parish school teacher, died Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Montclair Park Assisted Living following a brief illness. Geri was born October 15, 1922 in Youngstown, Ohio to Reuben R. Raybuck and Lizzie Leota Freed Raybuck. Geri was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Bossier City. She enjoyed reading, oil painting, and genealogy. Geri was proceeded in death by her husband of 68 years, Reverend Austin Smith, her parents and siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Janet S. Moss and Phyllis S. Iles (Paul). Grand Children, Tiffani T. Thomas (Ken), Paul Iles III, and Crystal Waterman, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Rachel Sanders and the wonderful caregivers at Montclair for their loving kindness to our mother. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to First United Methodist Bossier. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 12:00 PM at First United Methodist Bossier with Service at 1:00. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery.
