Frederick Angevine

Frederick Sherman Angevine, born April 30, 1935, in Port Angeles, WA died on April 29, 2018 one day short of his 83rd birthday. Fred had been ill since January of this year. Fred spent his life in service beginning with the US Air Force and concluding his career as a Captain with the Shreveport Police Department. When he retired, Fred was the Property Room Manager. Before it was coined by television, Fred was a C.S.I. and was a certified latent finger print examiner. Fred was also a 55 year member of the Hap Arnold Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. In 1954 while stationed at Barksdale AFB Fred met and married the love of his life, Janice. They would have celebrated 63 years of marriage on June 10th of this year. From this union came four beautiful daughters, all of whom survive him: Denia (Russ) Carter, Tracee (Reeves) Waggoner, Kimberly (Widow of A.J.) Price, and Kelli Angevine (Jimmie) Keller. Fred was the proud grandfather of five: Ethan (Kaitlyn) Carter, Eric Carter, Angela Waggoner (Chris)Tuya, Ray Waggoner, and Jacob Sherman Angevine. He was thrilled to be the great granddaddy of two boys: Joshua Tuya and the newest member of the family, Sebastian Elliot Carter. Fred is also survived by his brother Albert (Carla), of Port Angeles; a special niece, Kathy (Craig) Toups of Tacoma, WA and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to these, Fred is survived by three ‘Adopted' daughters: Deby Talley, Renee Irby, and Cheryl (Jeter) Cox. A Funeral service will be held at 12:30, Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Forest Park Funeral Home, in Shreveport. Visitation with the family will precede the funeral at 11 am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Fred did not stand on ceremony and would not want your money wasted on flowers.
