Fannie O'Con

March 8, 1926 — March 15, 2018

Fannie Elizabeth Rosalles O'con was born March 8, 1926 in Natchitoches Parish, LA to Weiss and Laura Rosalles. She passed peacefully into God's loving arms on March 15, 2018, one week to the day after her 92nd birthday. One of five sisters she proved to be a strong, hard working and considerate woman all of her life. Fannie worked throughout her life in administrative and bookkeeping positions and enjoyed her tenure as a member of the Women In Construction Organization. She had no biological children, but was indeed a mother to every niece and nephew she had. Her famed role however was being a giver. She was a giver of unconditional love to her family, a giver of her time to those that needed her, a giver of her energy for what ever the cause might have been. She had not a selfish bone about her, always helping others. A mere stumble resulted in the break of her right hip, subsequently taking her from us, as she succumbed to pneumonia. Fannie lost her husband of 50+ years in July 2017. At that time, it was a bittersweet move for her to accept the kindness of her first niece, Linda Green Wooton, to join her and her family in Belle Chasse, Louisiana where she lived comfortably and extremely happy as part of their family. Fannie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norey Ocon, her sisters, Melma Wille, Thelma Rodrigues, Marie ‘Dee' Coldren and her sweet nephew Greg Willie. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, Linda Wooton, Jerry Rodrigues, Ronda Arden, Richard Nagel, Rusty Nagel, Sharon Davis, together with their families. Her heavenly family surely celebrated her arrival. Loved beyond words, missed beyond measure. A Visitation will be held in Fannie's honor at 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, March 23, 2018. A Graveside service will occur the following morning, Saturday, March 24th at 10:30 am, where she will be laid to rest beside Norey at St. Ann Catholic Cemetery, Spanish Lake, north of Robeline, LA. Pallbearers: Jerry Rodrigues, Richard Nagel, Darin Nagel, Keith Gaudet, Kent Nagel, JJRodrigues and Calvin Rosalies. SERVICES Visitation Friday, March 23, 2018 5:00 PM Forest Park Funeral Home 1201 Louisiana Ave. Shreveport, LA 71101 Graveside Saturday, March 24, 2018 10:30 AM Spanish Lake Cemetery ,
