Eura Lee Varner

A Visitation is being held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Forest Park Funeral Home, followed by a Service at 1:00 PM. Eura Lee Varner, age 85, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017. She was born February 03,1931 in Keatchie, Louisiana. In her early years of life she moved from Keatchie Louisiana where she became a permanent resident of Shreveport, Louisiana. Eura Lee graduated from Jefferson High School located in Portland, Oregon in 1949. She later went on to attend Tuskegee University located in Tuskegee, Alabama. She enjoyed traveling, baking, shopping, walking, and gardening. She was a source of guidance, encouragement, and positive inspiration. Her greatest joy was her granddaughter which kept her young at heart. Eura Lee confessed Christ at an early age in Keatchie, Louisiana. As a child she attended Good Hope Baptist Church. After moving to Shreveport, Louisiana, she united with Avenue Baptist Church where she was a member for many years. Preceding her death were her parents Aury Varner and Eulee Varner; sisters Elsie Varner Woods, Gladys Varner, Carrie Varner-Evans; and brothers James Varner, Foster Varner, Courtney Varner, Crawford Varner, Robert Varner, and Leonard Varner. She leaves to rejoice in her memory her daughter Sylvia Jordan of Shreveport, Louisiana and granddaughter Keeona Jordan of Shreveport, Louisiana and other living relatives.
