Elizabeth 'Liz' Crymes Carter

Elizabeth "Liz" Crymes Carter, 59, passed away on April 8, 2021, at her home after diabetic complications and heart problems. Liz was born on February 12, 1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her main places of residence were Shreveport, The Philippines, Korea, Nevada, and Georgia. She attended schools in Harahan, LA, Metairie, LA, and Byrd High School in Shreveport, LA. She was on the rifle team in Jr. ROTC at Byrd HI. Liz worked as a Ward Clerk at Doctors Hospital and was a Candy Striper. She received many different awards for her achievements in ceramics, jazz dance, and 4-H projects. At her time of death, she was a member of LDS Church. Liz was feisty and strong-willed which helped her survive much past the age of expectancy. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, 1 brother and devoted friends at Fairfield Oaks and church, particularly Mike Richards. She is also survived by many cousins throughout the country. A memorial service will be held at LDS on Carroll Street which is Monday April 19, 2021 Monday evening 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. LDS Church, and Zoom Meeting ID 950 8331 1152, pass code 502804 Memorial contributions can be made to the Heart Association, Diabetic Association, Learning Disabilities Association of America.
