Edgar Mae Clingan

Edgar Mae (Mama Pete) Clingan passed away October 26, 2013. Mama Pete was born on April 23, 1919 to parents Robert Johnson and Anna Beard of Minden, LA. Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, four sisters, husband Eugene Clingan, daughter Jerri Blandino, and granddaughter Dani Lynn Cryer. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter June Pinson, granddaughter Jeanna Spilker & husband Rick, grandson Michael Blandino, great-grandchildren Rick Jr., Eric, James, Joshua, Jacob and Rebecca. As well as, 6 great-great-grandchildren. Mama Pete enjoyed her family, friends, and church. She loved sewing and mending clothes for people, as well as, being a self proclaimed hoarder and lover of garage sales. The family would like to give special thanks to Ann and Margaret with Shreveport Bossier Hospice and long time friend Betty Foster for their loving care. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave, Shreveport, LA 71101. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Graveside service will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery in Haughton, LA on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 @ 2:00pm.
