Eddie Lee Thomas Sr

Eddie Thomas was born to Lonnie Thomas, Sr. and Marie Williams Thomas on January 7, 1945. Eddie is the eldest of twelve children. He was baptized at an early age at the New Era Baptist Church in Gilliam, La. He attended public school in Caddo Parish and graduated from Herndon High School. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and completed his working years as a driver for Schneider National Carriers, Inc. He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents and his former wife, Mrs. Linda Romby Thomas. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Marie Williams Thomas, three children, Christie Thomas Alexander, Eddie Thomas Jr and Jonathan Thomas all of Houston, Texas, his Companion of thirty-five years Mrs. Gloria J. Murrell and her daughter Denise Murrell whom he helped raised both of Shreveport, La. He is survived by six brothers; Clyde Thomas (Lillie), Vivian, LA, John Thomas (Pam), Lonnie Thomas, Donald Thomas (Jennifer), Bennie Thomas (Gwen), all of Seattle, Washington, Charles Thomas, Detroit, Michigan, six sisters, Mary Thomas Ward (Donald), Ruthie Thomas, Willie M. Thomas Pritchard, Betty Thomas, Linda Thomas all of Seattle, Washington, six grandchildren, Anthony, Arlinda, Elecia, Jakaya, Mariana and Eddie III, and a host of other relatives and friends.
