Dovie Choat

Dovie Lee Hughes Choat, 88, of Shreveport, LA, went to join her husband Caswell Jackson Choat in heaven on August 11, 2016. Dovie was born May 25, 1928 in Forrest, LA. Her favorite hobbies were sewing, baking, and loving on all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dovie was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Hughes, her husband Caswell Choat, and two of her twelve children Sue and Buster. Her surviving family members are her children Wayne Choat, Eddie Choat, Jerry Choat, Billy Choat, David Choat, Adrian Choat, Deborah Bonnette, Lillie ""Angela"" Harris, Teresa Moore, and Scott Choat. She was also survived by numerous son in-laws, daughter in-laws, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Forest Park Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA followed by services at 12 PM. Dovie's final resting place will be at Garden of Memory in Minden, LA.
