Dorothy Fletcher

Dorothy Laverne Pennington Fletcher was born February 22, 1934 in Perryville, Louisiana. She was married to Louis Edward "Eddie" Fletcher and lived most of her life in Shreveport, Louisiana. She worked as a nurse for many years caring for the very sick and elderly. She loved her garden in the back yard and was always the first to volunteer in her younger days to help others. She also truly loved her animals, especially Sam, Brittany, Rook, Minnie, and SusieQ. She is survived by her children, Margret Medley and her husband, Victor "Buck", of San Antonio, Texas; Louis Edward "Ed" Fletcher of Tucson, Arizona and Carol Kassab her husband, Lance, of Houston, Texas. She has seven grandchildren: Melissa Bowles, Garrett Fletcher, John Fletcher, Victoria Medley, Bucky Medley, Joshua Kassab and Jordan Kassab. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Edward Fletcher, George Fletcher and Charlotte Fletcher. In addition, she has many others who have always loved her and fondly called her Aunt Dorothy. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Mae Yeldell and JW "Jack" Pennington.
