Dorothy "Dot" Mae Johnson

Dorothy “Dot” Mae Johnson, 87, passed away on June 29, 2023, in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Dorothy was born on April 9, 1936, in Pollock, Louisiana, to her father and mother, Pauline Leckie. She lived most of her life in Grand Cane, Louisiana and attended Pollock High School. Her greatest joy in life was making ceramics and enjoying the company of her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Buck” Leon Johnson; her children, Beverly Ann Robbins and Kathy Sue Brown; and by her parents, the Leckies.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Cathy) Kieth Johnson; her grandchildren, Robert Wayne Johnson, Ricky Lee Johnson, Frank Brown, Jr., Lucy Florom, Sheri Lawrence, Teri Rojas, Ricky Boyd, Deana Dighton, Billy Giddens, and Christopher Foster; her brother, Robert Leckie; and a total of 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave. Shreveport, LA 71101.
