Donald Wayne Tittle, affectionately known as Don, was born on January 1, 1943, in Erwin, Tennessee. He passed away on February 25, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, service, and dedication to family.
Don's journey began at Erwin High School, where he not only excelled academically but also showcased his athletic talent by leading his senior basketball team to victory in the Big 7 Conference seasonal scoring championship. After completing his education, Don honorably served for four years in the United States Air Force, embodying a spirit of commitment and dedication that defined much of his life.
His professional career flourished as he took on the role of Distribution Manager at Coca-Cola, where his leadership and work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Beyond his professional endeavors, Don was a passionate individual with varied interests. He was an avid fisherman and golf player, a skilled woodworker, and a talented guitar player. These hobbies were not only a source of joy for him but also a means to connect with family and friends.
Don is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Wade Tittle. He left behind a wonderful family: his children, James Tittle, Billy Wayne Tittle and Kathy Crotteay; his step-children, Michael Ellerbe and Becky Gentry; and his brother, Larry Tittle. He was a proud grandfather to Kayla Luna, Holly Tittle, Laurel Tittle, Ryan Gibson, Jessica Dennis, Scotty Tittle, Alyssa Greathouse, Matt Ellerbe, Jayson Tittle, Garrison Gentry, Savannah Jones, and Kaitlin Moreno. Don was also the cherished great-grandfather of 14 great-grandchildren.
His parents, Bill and Kathleen Tittle, and his sister, Lois Byers, along with his grandchild, Brittany Boone, predeceased him, leaving a gap that will be deeply felt.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on March 2, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Park Funeral Home and Cemeteries in Shreveport, Louisiana. This will be followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. Don will then be interred at Forest Park West Cemetery, where he will rest peacefully.
Donald Wayne Tittle will be remembered not only for his professional achievements and passions but most importantly, for the love and dedication he showed to his family and friends throughout his life. His legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
