Don Wayne Fuller, 71, of Shreveport, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 9, 2023, at his home. He was born February 19, 1951, in Blytheville, AR. Don attended Woodlawn High School, and then he proudly served his country as a United States Marine. He later continued his career where he worked for many years as a diesel mechanic until his retirement.
Don loved hunting with his brothers and more recently, playing pool with other family members. In 2004, Don married the love of his life, Sandra. They spent many weekends dancing at the Horseshoe Casino where they made many wonderful friends.
Family was important to Don; when he married Sandra, he freely accepted hers. He smiled with joy when the little ones would call him Papa Donnie.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra LeVasseur Bryant Fuller; mother, Martha Fuller-Golden; brother-in-law, Bill Steiner; and special nephew, Greg Stroud.
He is survived by his brothers, Jerry (Teresa) Crim, Herman “Butch” Fuller, and John “Ray” (Arlene) Fuller; and his sisters, Sandra Fuller Watkins, Pam Fuller Steiner, Deborah Fuller Graves, Shree’ Latham Raley (Howard) Hamby. Don is also survived by his bonus children, Roger C. (Tina) Bryant Jr., Brenda Bryant, and Darlyne Methvin, Jahinienne B. (Terry) Varwig; and many nieces, nephews, and bonus family.
Officiating will be grandson, Brandon Bryant.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 14 from 10am-12pm at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave. Funeral service to follow at 12pm at Forest Park Funeral Home. Final resting place will be at Forest Park Cemetery West.
