Shreveport, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Dewey Ralph Wyatt, age 74, will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, May 14 2018 at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Avenue, Shreveport. Interment will follow at Forest Park West, Shreveport. There will be a time of visitation on Sunday, May 13 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Wyatt was born November 26, 1943 in Marthaville, LA. He retired as Partner of American Paving, Inc. He passed away Thurs., May 10, 2018 in his home from complications related to a lengthy illness. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His joy in life was his grandchildren and he always quoted that they are the "blood of his blood" as an expression of his joy and love for them. Mr. Wyatt is was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Jewel E. Noble Wyatt; brothers, Jeff Wyatt, Preston "Gene" Wyatt, Clinton "Buddy" Wyatt; sisters, Estelle Wyatt, Rachel Isbell Wyatt and Mary "Polly" Wyatt. He is survived by his son Dr. Samuel Wyatt, and wife Denise of Geismar, LA; granddaughter Lacey Wyatt Demint and husband Tyler, granddaughter Caitlain Bowman, grandson Preston Wyatt; great-grandchildren Brantley Demint, Greyson Demint; Sister, Linda Wyatt Murphy and husband John and special family members, Melissa, Jim and son, Jordan along with numerous nieces and nephews.
