Debra ""Debbie"" Odom

Debra "Debbie" Henderson Odom, 62, of Bethany Louisiana went home to be the Lord February 11, 2017 due to a sudden illness. She was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on January 20, 1955 to William L. Henderson and Gladys June Woolston Henderson. Debbie spent the majority of her childhood in Magnolia Arkansas and while there found her passion for animals. In her teen years her family relocated to Shreveport, LA. Debbie graduated from Woodlawn High School and continued her education at Northwestern State School of Nursing where she studied to become a RN. She was especially fond of her time she had worked at the LSU-MC Burn Unit where she found it rewarding to assist patients through the healing process. Debbie enjoyed her family and friends and the quality times spent together. Debbie had a love of riding horses and training dogs and horses. She adored gardening, photography, reading and writing. She left behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 42 years, Elton Odom of Bethany, LA, daughter, Amanda "Mandie" Parchman and husband Blake of Bethany, LA, grandchildren Cole Crawford of Keithville, LA and Piper Parchman of Bethany, LA. Sister, Pat Martindale and special brother in law Derryl of Allen, TX, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. A memorial service is being held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave. Shreveport, LA.
