Debra Renee Moreno

Debra Renee McCabe Moreno, 59 of Shreveport, passed away Wednesday December 13th, 2017 at University Health. She is preceded in death by her father Mike T. McCabe. Debra was born on January 26, 1958 in Shreveport, La to Mike and Cynthia McCabe. She graduated from Byrd High School and went on to receive her certification in day care as a pre-school teacher. She loved caring for children, whether she was fostering them, working with them at the day care, or mothering her own. Debra also loved God and enjoyed praising him at church on Sunday mornings. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Moreno; Children, Anthony Dale Randolph, Joseph Michael Moreno, and Samantha Elaine Renee Moreno; her mother, Cynthia Lee McCabe; her siblings, Julia Maxine Carlson, Mike T. McCabe Jr., and Lucy McCabe Lewis. Debra also leaves behind countless numbers of nieces and nephews. She would want 4 names in particular because they meant so much to her; Marlene Rice Enders, Fabrin Randolph, Stephan Carlson, and Matthew Moreno. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:25am on Saturday December 16, 2017 at The Healing Place 8957 Kingston Rd, Shreveport, LA 71118. The funeral service will be held at 11:30am following the visitation. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery 4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, La 71109. Memorial contributions may be made to The Johnathan Travis Enders Memorial Scholarship Funds at LSUS Nursing School under Debra's name.
