Deborah "Debbie" Kay Massey Dillard, 61, of Shreveport, LA passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, April 11th, 2018, from a sudden illness. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Forest Park Funeral Home, located at 1201 Louisiana Ave. Shreveport, LA 71101. Officiating the service will be Pastor Michael Stowell of First Baptist Church in Keithville, LA. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 20th, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Serving as pallbearers: Joseph Dayton Brocato, Carl Hicks, Shawn Larson, Jonathan Marr, Gary Roberts and Chuck Kesilman. Debbie was born August 13, 1956 in Shreveport, LA. She graduated from Fair Park High School in 1974. She is survived by her mother, Edna Massey; two brothers, Chuck Massey and Jay Massey; one sister, Tammy Massey Brown; six daughters, Angel Pollard, Stephanie Pollard, Ashley Raney, Shelley Raney, Karley Raney and Kelley Raney; fifteen grandchildren, her dog Krissi Rose (which was her baby) and several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, J.L. Massey; her brother, Scott Massey; her nephew, Aaron Massey and others. Debbie was a publisher/chief executive officer for Southern Hospitality Magazine. She absolutely loved her profession because it gave her the opportunity to meet so many amazing people. Debbie never met a stranger. She had a heart of gold and saw the beauty in every single person she came in contact with. She had a smile that could light up even the darkest room and a contagious laugh that no one could ever forget. Debbie adored every single one of her friends, her entire family, her dog Krissi, and most of all, her six beautiful daughters. Debbie created and leaves behind a legacy filled with love and compassion that will always be remembered and forever imprinted on our hearts.
