Cynthia Ann Denny

Cynthia Ann Dennis passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the age of 74, after a brief illness. Cynthia was born in Oklahoma on July 10, 1942 and resided in Shreveport, La. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, 3301 St. Matthias Drive, Shreveport on Saturday, November 26, 2016. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Duane A. and Maida B. Dennis. She is survived by close friend, Eva Alicia Williams, of Shreveport, La; and cousins; Beverly (and Russ) Drapenhoff and Don Reberry, all of Missouri. Cynthia had such fond memories of all the students that she mentored throughout her career as a radiologic technologists and had became the Program Director of the School of Radiologic Technology at LSUHS, where she retired. She co-authored several books specializing in her field of study. She enjoyed woodcarving, traveling and was an avid collector. Cynthia was a member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church where she enjoyed coordinating their annual garage sales and volunteering. She loved animals...especially her dogs Rocky, Balooh, and Scooter. They would visit nursing homes and spend time with her special Pet Therapy friends. Cynthia was a special lady who will be greatly missed. Her family would like to thank the physicians and nurses who cared for her during her encounters at Willis-Knighton Medical Center and the WK Cancer Center.
