Claudine Mason Delaney

Claudine Mason Delaney, aged 70, passed away on November 20, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Born on August 24, 1954, in Jonesville, Louisiana, she was a spirited and loving individual who cherished her family deeply and embraced life with openness and warmth.

Claudine was a proud graduate of Ringgold High School and dedicated many years to the Bossier Parish School Board as a bus driver, a role that allowed her to connect with many in her community. She was a member of Ringgold Baptist Church.

Her personality was marked by her love for her family, her outspoken nature, and her ability to make friends with everyone she met. Claudine enjoyed a variety of hobbies including going on cruises, family vacations, traveling, playing bingo, shopping, and dining out, which all reflect her zest for life.

She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, Dave Delaney Sr.; children, Allen McCoy (Michelle), Jennifer Carrasco (Rafael), and William Delaney Jr. (Daphane); grandchildren, Natalie McCoy, Ryleigh McCoy, Olan Hulion, Tristen Hulion, Makaela Hulion, Landen Owen, Autumn Delaney, and River Delaney; siblings, Clarence Mason (Frances), Daisy Todd (Donnie), Dot Henson (Vernon), Kenneth Mason (Paula), and Barbara Carter (Randall); sisters-in-laws, Judy Mason and Eva Mason; and numerous extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Leatha Mason of Sicily Island, and siblings, Edward Mason, Charles Mason, and Wanda Gail Mason.

Visitation for Claudine will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave., Shreveport, LA. Her funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Bistineau Baptist Church, 195 Bistineau Church Rd., Heflin, LA. Scott Carter, pastor from Bisitneau Baptist Church will be officiating.

The family extends a special thank you to the ICU staff and 4th-floor nurses at Willis Knighton Pierremont for their exceptional care of Claudine during her final days.
