Chris, the firstborn of Susan Campbell Reid and the late Lamar Velton Reid was born in Hot Springs, AR. Chris spent most of his early years in Vivian, Louisiana. Chris attended North Caddo High School and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Master's in Business Administration. He later obtained his CPA. Chris worked as a CFO for several companies, including being over the Southeast region for the Red Bull company and all of North America for Evian Water. He was currently doing consultation work in Minnesota. Chris chose Jesus as his Savior when he was seven years old and was active in the First Baptist Church of Vivian. He recently proudly proclaimed he knew he was going to heaven when he died which is a great comfort for those of us who know we will see him there soon. He is survived by his spouse, Frankie Reid of Minnetonka, Minnesota. When Chris entered a room he brought joy and delight to all the children with his antics, especially when he started passing out $20 bills. He adored children and finally reached his life-long dream, when he and Frankie had three children, Chloe Rein Reid, Christian Zane Reid, and Kristen Diana Reid. He is also survived by his mother, Susan Reid, two sisters, Jennifer Reid Carter, and Theadora Reid Herndon, all of Shreveport, Louisiana, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Chris's greatest joy was being with Frankie, their children, and Frankie's sister, Keyla Ramirez. Frankie's memories of Chris include: "Chris's life goal was to always make an impact. He was very ambitious and motivated to succeed. When Chris joined others he would light up the room. He fought faithfully to help others in need. With his big heart he was extremely generous to those around him. His family will carry on Chris's legacy which was: ‘To change the world one person at a time' as he frequently did." A light went out in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed.
