Charlotte Yvonne Thompson

Charlotte Yvonne (Smith) Thompson, age 70, a retired secretary, has died on Thursday, February 23, 2023, in Houston, TX after a lengthy illness.

She was born on January 31, 1953, in Manning, AR to Charles & Hazel Smith. She lived most of her life in West Monroe, LA. Charlotte attended Woodlawn High School and was a member of Frantom Chapel Church.

She was preceded in death by her stepson, Lane Thompson, parents, Charles Smith, Leonard & Hazel Dodge.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Ronnie Thompson; son, Chip Thompson (Dana); stepdaughter, Ronda Cotton (Ricky); her grandchildren, Spencer Kane, Caleb Hinton, Maddie Thompson, and Tyler Thompson; her sister, Patricia Von Hollen (Harvey); brother, Kevin Smith (Kim); and 14 nieces and nephews..

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 1, from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM, at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave. Shreveport, LA 71101. A graveside service will follow at 1:00PM at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. Shreveport, LA 71109.
