Charles H. “Pete” McCullough, 91, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, after a long illness.
Charles was born January 1, 1933, to L.E. McCullough and Mildred Anderson McCullough in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. Charles spent his life in many cities which included Shreveport, LA; Baltimore, MD; Minneapolis, MN; and Cincinnati, OH. He enlisted in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 as Sgt. Charles later attended Quantico F.B.I. Academy and became an FBI agent. Charles was a member of First Methodist Church in Shreveport, LA. He had many hobbies which included gardening, coin collecting, watching NASCAR, and was a Civil War buff.
Charles is preceded in death by the love of his life, Phyllis Cales McCullough; his parents, L.E. McCullough and Mildred Anderson McCullough; siblings, Fred McCullough, Jacqueline Files, Betty Lord, and Mildred Riley.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Sheri Sundquist and husband John; grandchildren, Amanda and husband Bryan, Justin and wife Kaycee; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Forest Park Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 2 pm at Forest Park Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Forest Park Cemetery West.
