Catherine Christiano Tartarilla Of Shreveport

Miss Catherine, as she was known to all, 86, was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 8, 1928 and passed away after succumbing to an infectious illness on April 8, 2014. She loved working with babies and toddlers. She was a cherished employee at Learn and Play Child Care Center. She was retired at the age of 80 and missed her job ever since. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and also frequented Saint Michaels during the last year of her life. She is preceded in death by two of her children, Michael and Patricia. She is survived by three sons; Paul, Richard & Billy, Two daughters; Jeanne & Gloria, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and separated husband, William. Arrangements are being held by Forest Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to service from 9:00am-10:00am. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 beginning at 10:00am in St. Michael's Chapel, behind St. John Berchman's Catholic Church, Jordan St., Shreveport, LA. Interment will be immediately following service at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave.
