Carol Speights Davis

Carol Lee (Speights) Davis, 70, died on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from complications of Type 1 diabetes. She was born in Smackover, Arkansas on January 3, 1945 and was the loving daughter of Helen and Marvin Speights (both deceased). She is survived by her son Thomas Reginald Davis (Joann) of Calion, Arkansas and siblings, Mary Speights Reynolds (Cliff) of Hudson, Ohio; and Marvin Reginald (Reggie) Speights (Claudia) of Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She was a member of the Union County Animal Protection Society (U.C.A.P.S.) of El Dorado, Arkansas, where she was devoted to animal rescue and fostering homeless animals. Carol was a kind spirit who was loved by those who knew her. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at OakRidge Nursing and Rehab for their special care of our dear sister, Carol. A graveside service will be held at the Forest Park Cemetery (3700 St. Vincent Street, 318-861-3544) in Shreveport, Louisiana on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to U.C.A.P.S., 1000 Sunset Road, Box 204, El Dorado, Arkansas 71730.
