Carl Jones

Graveside services for Carl Jones of Shreveport, LA will be held at Forest Park West Cemetery on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 12:00 noon. Officiating will be Brother James Morgan. Carl was born on November 29, 1940, in Negreet, LA and died at his home in Shreveport on August 27, 2021. He was 80 years old. He retired from Red Ball Freight Company where he was a skilled mechanic for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed building muscle cars and tinkering with mechanical projects. He was preceded in death by his parents, JL Jones Sr. and Susie J. Jones, and siblings, Charles Jones, Jearlean Goins, Ralph Jones, Maxine Taylor, and Charlotte Bass. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary 'Nell' Mangum Jones, who passed away a few days after Carl; siblings, JL Jones Jr., Betty Taylor, Bobbie Moncilobich, and Judy Boykin; special friend, Claude Shaw; and a host of family and friends.
