Brenda Baker Hoffman

Brenda Baker Hoffman went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services honoring her life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Avenue in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating will be Brother Lamar Carpenter. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Brenda was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on March 18, 1948. She was a 1966 graduate of Fair Park High School. After 30 years, she retired from the LSU School of Allied Health. She is survived by her son, Joe Geter, Jr. and wife, Lisa, daughter Jacy Geter, sisters Vickie Santoro, Sandy Brock, and Debbie Rabalais, brother Roy Baker, along with her eight grandchildren whom she adored. Honoring Brenda as pallbearers will be Paul Baker, Garry Jefferson, Michael Brock, Jeff Butler, Corey Rabalais, and Stephen Rabalais. Brenda loved life, loved unconditionally, and never met a stranger. She put humor into every situation. Our lives will never be the same without her.
