Betty Sue Holder

Betty Dillard Holder was born May 31, 1929, and passed on to her Heavenly Lord on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. She grew up in the Sardis community, near Farmerville, LA, the youngest of 7 siblings. She was married to John Felix Holder for 62 years, who is now deceased. Together they owned and operated the popular Mr. Swiss Restaurant for 32 years. Her two sons, Johnny and David, also predeceased her.

She is survived by grandson, John Holder, III (Trey) and wife Christina; granddaughter, Jennifer Parish husband Ray and son Nicholas; and many nieces and nephews including William (Butch) Dillard and wife Synda, Jeff Dillard wife Robin and daughter Allison, Janet Wallace and husband Kenny Ray, Dan Ulrich, Dan McDonald and wife Vicky, Amy Dillard Klingensmith, David Dillard, and Dan Dillard. Also surviving is a very special friend, Wanda Boddie, whom she called her ‘angel.’

A graveside service will be held at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. Shreveport, LA, on Friday, April 28, at 10:00 AM with Brother Mel Campbell of Frierson Baptist Church officiating.
