Betty B. Adams

Betty Jean left this world to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 14, 2015. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave. Shreveport. Rev. Murray Hodge will be conducting graveside services at Forest Park West on 4000 Meriweather Road on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Betty was born to James P. and Ruth Harris Bazar in Montgomery, La on October 30, 1929. She lived and went to school in Winn Parish until 1948 when she married and moved to Shreveport. She worked for many years as a meat wrapper in the major food stores until going to work for Western Electric in 1966. She moved to Keithville in 1978 and then after retiring in 1986, she and her husband Jim raised blueberries. She leaves behind an abundance of people who loved her and will miss her greatly. Her kindness and generosity would endear her to everyone she met. In her life she excelled as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Preceding her in death was her parents, her husband, the love of her life; Jim E. Adams, Sr., 2 brothers; 3 sisters; a daughter; Pamela Dick Morton, step son; Jim E. Adams Jr., and son-in-law; Larry D. Holt. Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter; Sharon Dick Holt, her sons; Steven, Kevin Adams and wife; Vicki, who was like another daughter; step son; Jack Adams and wife Cindy as well as Alice Adams Doskocil. Grandchildren are Larry Todd Holt, Sharla Holt Bernard, Erin Holt Faulk, husband; Josh, Angela Robbins, husband; Ben, Krystal Adams, Joshua Adams, wife; Amanda, Dylan Adams, and Christine Morton. Betty was, also, blessed with 14 great-grandchildren and survived by 3 sisters, 1 brother, and many loving nieces and nephews. Honoring Betty as pallbears are Glyn Denmon, Daniel Sanders, Ronnie Burgess, Bill Burnside, Bruce Swan and Daniel Wheeler. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Joshua Adams and Dylan Adams.
