Barbara Mcdowell

Barbara McDowell went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 31, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Orlan and Mildred Lee and her husband Walter McDowell, and her sister Patsy Lee. Left to cherish Barbara are sons, Michael McDowell of Shreveport, Richard McDowell of Shreveport; daughter Lisa Langston of Conroe, TX; brother Orlan Lee Jr of Greenwood; sister Gayle Shuflin of Shreveport, sister Mary Alice Wrinkle of Benton; 5 granddaughters; 4 great grandsons. She enjoyed antiquing with her best friend Barbara Brown. She loved spending time with her granddaughters and great grandsons. She was a kind, gentle woman. When you needed her she was always there. The best mother and sister there was. Barbara was loved by everyone she knew. Her children loved her very much she was very close to all of her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A graveside service was held January 5, 2015 at Forest Park West Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Forest Park Funeral Home.
