Barbara 'Babs' Brown

Barbara 'Babs' (Love) Brown, 92, a retired home health nurse, died of natural causes at her home surrounded by loved ones on March 22, 2022. She was born on May 23, 1929, to W. B. Love, Sr. and Lola Johnston Love in Shreveport, LA. She attended C. E. Byrd High School and Northwestern Nursing School. Barbara earned the Clara Barton Nursing Memorial Scholarship Award, and she was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She enjoyed dancing, reading, all animals, and the New Orleans Saints! Babs was loved by all who had the privilege of meeting her. She was full of joy and had a lovely, infectious smile.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Brown; her son, Morry Allen Hunter; her parents, W. B. Love, Sr. and Lola Johnston Love; and her siblings, W. B. Love, Jr. and Jayne Love Krippendorf.

She is survived by multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 25, at 1:00 PM at Forest Park East Cemetery.
