Armand confessed to Christ at an early age. He attended Huntington high school. He finished school in 2012. Growing up, he spent a lot of time with his loving grandmother Joyce Mays who spoiled him. If you knew Armand he lived his life the way he wanted with no remorse. You had to love him.

Armand is proceeded in death by his grandfathers Charles Edward Mays Sr. and Albert Kay Target. Grandmothers Joyce Mays and Lee Doris Mathews. Uncle Fred Mathews ( Debra ) and Aunt Eve Mathews. 2 twin nephews Josiah and Jimmy Jr. A host of great aunts and uncles.

Armand leaves to cherish and rejoice in his memory a father Charles E. Mays Jr, a loving mother Jacqueline M. Wright, a bonus father Larry Wright, a loving sister LaDoriscia Mathews, two nephews Isaiah, Ian, and two nieces Jaliyah and Jayla. He had several sisters and brothers. He had five uncles Anthony Mays, Albert R. Hanna (Faye), Anthony Mathews (Louise), Joseph P. Mathews, Colby Roy Clark. Three aunts Machelle Mays, Beverly M. Ross (Norris), Polly Mathews. A host of cousins and friends.

Special things to the volunteers of America for being there when I was not. The doctors and nurses of Ochsner LSU MICU for all the hugs and all the hard work you all put in. The intensive specialty hospital for the care showed my baby, but all the love and care you showed me as well. Gentiva hospice for the care that you all showed in the end and helping me cope with hard delusions. May God continue to bless you.
