Alton Edward Chenault

Shreveport, La---------Alton Edward Chenault "Eddie", 66, went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2017, at Willis Knighton Hospital in Shreveport, La, after a sudden heart attack. Alton was born on October 24, 1951 in Shreveport, La to Herbert and Bertha Chenault. He graduated from Woodlawn High School in Shreveport. Later, Alton served his country by serving in the Army National Guard. He loved his career as a Diesel Mechanic and Crain Operator in civic redevelopment and demolition. Alton was a member of First Baptist Church of Bossier and he enjoyed watching football, gardening, and tending to his flowers and being outdoors. Alton is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Bertha Chenault and his sister Martha Chenault. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Diane; his children, Angela Chenault-Mixon and Alton ‘Eddie' Chenault, JR.; his grandchildren, Blake Mixon, John and Torry Chenault, Charlie and Donna Chenault, and Dalton Chenault; his siblings Maudie Norman and Herbie Chenault; six great grandchildren; 5 nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Meshach.
