Ada Marie Clark

Ada Marie Clark, 86, passed away on Thursday April 25, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born May 6, 1932 in Vienna, La to James and Nelvin Kirkham. Marie loved the Lord and loved her family. She will be remembered for her unconditional love, sweet smile, and gentle nature. Preceding her in death is her husband, William L. Clark; son, Leslie R. Clark; her parents; two brothers, Clarence (Bud) Kirkham and Jimmie Ray Kirkham; and one sister, Wanda Faye LaLena. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: four daughters, Mary Jo Burgette and husband Jim; Donna Hare, Debbie McKenzie, and Carol Overstreet; two sons, Gary Clark and wife Syble, and David Clark and wife Jeannette; two sisters, Penny Newman, and Kathy Chrietzberg and husband Frank; 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and many beloved family and friends. Her nephew, Pastor Michael Stewart of Hugh Springs Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. A visitation will be held at Forest Park Funeral Home, Sunday, April 28, 2019, 1:00-3:00pm, 1201 Louisiana Avenue. Funeral Services will be Monday, April 29, 2019, 12:00pm followed by burial at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, La. Honoring Marie as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brian Brewster, Elliott Clark, Jamie Clark, Skylar Clark, Jacob Haddock, and Mike Overstreet. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons Chris Clark, Jason Clark, Geren Lowery, Dakota Overstreet, and great-grandsons, Cody Barnes and Nic Shelton.
